We're looking for a Assistant Project Manager to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects in the Thames Valley region (North). In this role you will support various projects on the Thames Water WAAP Programme and help deliver the requirements of the individual project to both above and below ground assets. Location : Harpenden, Hertfordshire Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know Responsibilities We're looking for a Assistant Project Manager to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit. In this role you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager and ensuring the success of the Harpenden project. Your diverse and crucial responsibilities are integral to our operations. Your day to day will include: Supporting the Project Manager: The APM's primary accountability is to effectively support the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery. Accurate & Timely Information: accountable for providing accurate and timely information on project progress, risks, issues, and budget. This is crucial for the Project Manager to make informed decisions. Effective Coordination: coordinates project activities and resources, ensuring smooth workflow and minimising disruptions. Initiative-taking Problem Identification: accountable for proactively identifying and escalating potential project problems to the Project Manager. They shouldn't wait for things to go wrong. Quality of Work: responsible for the quality of their work, including documentation, reports, and other deliverables. What are we looking for? This Assistant Project Manager is great for you if you have: Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant industry. Any experience working on projects, even in a non-project management role, can be valuable. This could include involvement in team projects, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities. Familiarity with project management software and tools is a plus. CSCS Black Card (or equivalent). SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
