As a Senior IT Audit Manager in our UK team, you will support the Audit Director in leading the team of IT Audit professionals. You will have real scope to help shape the Audit team and will be key in implementing and driving our strategic priorities, co-create a leading audit function (including the use of Data Analytics and Agile methods) and deliver and role model changes.
Working closely with GA leaders, this is a unique opportunity to drive the evolution of the function and to transform our ways of working, to be more agile and fit for whatever the future brings, with increased autonomy and faster decision-making.

How you will make an impact
As a Senior Information Technology (IT) Audit Manager in UK, you will primarily oversee the delivery of IT, Operations and project audits and build business relationships with key stakeholders within UK to understand the IT and change risks in the UK business and develop the Audit Plan with the support of the Audit Director and Audit Leads. The role will include to present regular updates to Management and relevant Committees, and you will report to the Audit Director, UK.
You will also play a role in implementing and driving our strategic priorities, co-create a leading audit function using innovative audit approaches, new world skills (Data Analytics, IT fundamentals, and GenAI), and Agile methods, and serve as a role model for delivering change.
What will you be doing?
* Input into the overall UK risk assessment and audit planning and determining the right audit scope, key risks to be addressed and most suitable audit techniques and approaches alongside the Audit Director.
* Keeping the business safe by overseeing the execution of a portfolio of audit engagements end-to-end, in line with quality, time and budget requirements.
* Support the global IT Centre of Excellence to continuously evolve IT capabilities in Group Audit and drive the development of the wider team through upskilling initiatives (New World Skills) and technical knowledge sharing sessions.
* Creating a collaborative and supportive team environment while overseeing the quality of outcomes.
* Guiding, coaching, and supervising the work of the team throughout the audit engagement.
* Oversee the performance and development of IT audit team members assigned (career management responsibilities).
* Influencing IT and Operations senior leaders through strong relationships and insights and acting as a strategic partner for the Audit Director.
* Identifying themes and trends, systemic/emerging issues and sharing insights with senior UK stakeholders as well as supporting reporting into relevant local Committees and Project Steering Groups.
* Contributing to the Group Audit global team through sharing own technical knowledge and engaging in our continuous training program.
What are we looking for?
* Bachelors or master’s degree in a relevant field and significant experience in Internal Audit.
* Professional certification, such as CISA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
* Relevant experience at a senior level role in financial services, particularly insurance, is preferred.
* Knowledge and competence across all IT domains paired with data analytics skills. Proven track record with technology and governance controls for Cloud, Data Management, Cyber Security and new technologies, such as Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
* Experience in third-party, outsourcing and project management auditing.
* Strong understanding and applicability of audit and/or business risk management and control processes.
* Proven record of working with and influencing executive/senior stakeholders, verbally and through written reports.
* Demonstrated success in business, functional and people management.
* Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, guide and coach the team to deliver on time to high quality standards.
* Experience leading teams through change collaborative, flexible, persistent and results-oriented mindset.
* Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing and motivating diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
