Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team, supporting a diverse range of pupils with varying needs, including those identified with additional and complex needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational journey of our pupils, delivering high-quality education and contributing to their holistic development. You will work closely with class teachers and other members of the support team.
The successful candidate will:
1. Support teachers in delivering the curriculum effectively, adapting content to meet the needs of identified pupils.
2. Have a clear understanding of the role of a Learning Support Assistant and experience in supporting teachers and pupils.
3. Have experience of working with a range of pupils, including those with additional needs.
4. Have a sound knowledge and understanding of Development Matters or the National Curriculum.
5. Have the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners.
6. Be proactive and have the ability to work under own initiative.
7. Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom.
8. Have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
9. Have effective communication skills in standard English.
10. Be a positive role model with a calm and patient demeanour.
11. Have a sense of humour and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
12. Actively promote and adhere to school policies.
