Overview
The Senior Marketing Manager will lead and develop all marketing channels covering both B2C and B2B working with external and internal parties. This varied role would suit a candidate with strong leadership and analytical skills looking to join a dynamic travel company with ambitious growth plans. The Senior Marketing Manager is a key role within the business and will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver business targets.
Responsibilities
* Manage team of 3 Marketing Executives effectively; support, develop and coach to ensure Marketing Executives are meeting all goals and contributing to broader business KPIs.
* Plan, implement and evaluate all partnership marketing campaigns; working alongside internal teams and agencies.
* Plan, measure and report on the effectiveness of all marketing channels and company websites (including e-commerce product) using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and metrics (ROI, ROAS, CPP etc.).
* Work with Managing Director & Finance Director to create annual marketing plan and budget.
* Lead email marketing activity; working with in-house departments to agree content, preparing creatives and analysing results.
* Lead social media & content strategy; create content calendars, blogs, video content to drive engagement.
* Manage marketing budget; ensure efficient use of spend to drive optimum ROI and working with Finance team on forecasting.
* Lead and manage agency on all performance marketing activity; including SEM, sponsored social media and display advertising.
* Drive new developments for company websites; working alongside web agency to plan, test and implement new features & functionality.
* Drive CRO and data strategy alongside digital agency to achieve agreed KPIs.
* Support with website updates using Modx CMS.
* Utilise company CRM for heightened targeting & segmentation of marketing activities where appropriate.
* Lead PR strategy; plan and write compelling press releases to drive maximum awareness and reach. Liaise directly with media when required.
* Support Travel Trade team with B2B travel agent marketing requests.
* Plan and implement dedicated B2B travel agent marketing campaigns, working alongside Travel Trade team.
* Drive new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques to elevate brand positioning.
* Maintain marketing calendar, proactively suggesting and leading creative ideas and concepts. Ensure the business is briefed on all scheduled upcoming campaigns.
Requirements & Skills
* Leadership and Team Management: Ability to manage, support, develop, and coach a team of Marketing Executives.
* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and metrics (e.g., ROI, ROAS, CPP) to measure and report on marketing effectiveness.
* Strategic Planning: Experience in creating annual marketing plans and budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Email Marketing: Skills in leading email marketing activities, including content preparation and result analysis.
* Social Media and Content Strategy: Expertise in creating content calendars, blogs, and video content to drive engagement.
* Budget Management: Ability to manage marketing budgets efficiently to drive optimum ROI and work on forecasting with the Finance team.
* Performance Marketing: Experience in leading and managing agency activities for SEM, sponsored social media, and display advertising.
* Website Development: Skills in planning, testing, and implementing new features and functionality for company websites.
* B2B Marketing: Experience in planning and implementing B2B travel agent marketing campaigns.
* Innovative Growth Strategies: Ability to drive new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques.
* Creative Thinking: Proactive in suggesting and leading creative ideas and concepts for the marketing calendar.
* Knowledge of the North American travel sector is preferable.
