Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is a unique visitor attraction and educational charity in the heart of Wrexham city centre. About the role
The Projects Officer will lead the development and management of all of Xplore!’s externally funded projects in support of the organisation’s mission and vision. The post holder will coordinate the application, planning, delivery and reporting of projects with particular focus on the future development of Xplore!. This is a key role as the organisation looks to further its purpose and presence by developing its facilities at its science discovery centre in Wrexham city centre and its Xplore! Nature forest school site in Northop.

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in science communication and education, is organised, able to motivate others and is creative. The role will involve work with community groups and regular contact with funding bodies. Experience of working in a third sector organisation or within a science centre setting is desirable for this position.
Applicants will possess excellent organisational skills, an understanding of current education initiatives, and be able to deliver projects on time and within budget. Experience of preparing formal written reports is essential. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of success in grant applications and fundraising.
