Main duties of the job
The Digital Health Activation Service is part of The Life Rooms suite of Services in Liverpool. As a Digital Health Advisor, you will help tackle health inequalities by removing barriers to accessing digital services and information. You will play a key role in empowering individuals and groups, increasing their knowledge, skills, and confidence in using technology to improve their health and wellbeing.
As a Digital Health Advisor, you will support a variety of initiatives tailored to the needs of the local community. Recent projects have included:
* Data Bank - Reducing data poverty
* Digital Inclusion Initiative - Providing tablets and training on their use
* Basic IT - Offering essential digital skills training
* NHS App Essentials - Helping users navigate and access key NHS services
You will work in community settings and GP practices across Liverpool, offering a neighbourhood-based approach to reduce digital deprivation and ensure everyone has the opportunity to benefit from digital health services.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
* Work within primary care, multi-disciplinary team settings and VCSE Organisations to support services to become more digitally enabled.
* Deliver virtual and face-to-face training to individuals and groups regarding the use of digital technology and its application within improving and maintaining health and wellbeing.
* Produce a range of accessible resources to support individuals and communities in the use of digital technology in addressing health and wellbeing needs.
* Engage communities to consider health inequalities and use digital means to create bespoke support addressing the wider determinants of health.
* Be responsible for own time management, working autonomously and as part of a team to facilitate training, 1:1 support and information guidance across services, communities, and organisations.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including primary care, VCSE organisations, and community representatives to support effective service delivery.
* Engage in side-by-side working in order to co-produce a service that is responsive to individual and community needs.
* Support the delivery of key performance indicators for the service.
* Produce reports as requested.
* Keep accurate records, update systems and databases, and maintain digital platforms to a high standard in order to produce robust and timely statistical reports.
* Signpost people to other services where appropriate and support access to these to gain further support around health and wellbeing needs.
* Actively participate in developing directorate, team and individual objectives and plans, attend staff performance management and learning and development reviews.
* The post holder is expected to be flexible in the performance of duties and to undertake any other duties identified as appropriate to the post.

Qualifications
Essential
* Level 3 Qualification such as NVQ in relevant subject (e.g., teaching, health training)
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
* Experience engaging with local communities and identifying health and wellbeing needs
* Significant evidence of understanding the wider determinants of health and experience of using digital means to address these barriers
* Knowledge of community services and how they support health and wellbeing
* Knowledge of factors that influence health and wellbeing including lifestyle and social factors
* Demonstrable experience of delivering training and support to individuals and groups
* Knowledge of Primary Care
* Knowledge of working with VCSE organisations
* Knowledge of Digital Health Technology and experience of applying this to support health and wellbeing
* Awareness of local and national health and wellbeing digital initiatives and ability to deliver these in a range of settings
* Awareness of how to design, deliver and evaluate learning interventions
* Understanding of the impact of digital deprivation on health and wellbeing
* Understanding of factors contributing to digital deprivation and how to mitigate these
* Awareness of local initiatives and community services and ability to signpost where appropriate to support digital deprivation
