Job summary We are seeking to appoint dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Staff Nurse within our Ocean Day Unit situated within our Children's Outpatient department. This role is offered as a permanent role working 22.5 hours per week across 3x days as rostered. Main duties of the job The Paediatric nursing team forms part of the Integrated Children's services at North Middlesex University Hospital and is part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will work under the direction of the Ward Manager - Children's Outpatients with responsibility for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated. The postholder is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated to work as part of the nursing team at North Middlesex University Hospital Trust. The postholder will provide care within the Ocean Day Unit without supervision to facilitate the prevention of admission or reduction in hospitalisation, and will act as an effective clinical support for students. The postholder will work as part of the Ocean Day Unit Nursing Team with support from the cohort of Band 5/6 Staff Nurses and Band 7 Ward Manager. The postholder is expected to contribute to the assessment, planning, and implementation of evidence-based care to children and their families and carers, and work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless service for the children. Circumstances may arise for the post holder to assist in providing clinical cover in all areas of the paediatric unit.
