CFB Risk Management are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
Job Overview
This is a “Hands On” Operational role, requiring a highly competent and technically qualified ECM with substantial multisite industry experience.
Reporting to Head of Operations.

Emergency Preparedness and Response
1. Perform all duties in compliance with all Company EHS, business conduct policies, guidelines and the site Life Saving Rules at all times
2. Lead, motivate, manage and develop the Site Protection Team, to deliver an efficient, robust and effective service to the site
3. Develop and maintain the competence of the on-site emergency response team to ensure their capabilities are in line with site risks, regulations and industry best practice
4. Deliver Site Incident Controller training
5. Advise, carry out support / liaison role in ECC (Emergency Control Centre) should a major incident occur on site
6. Carry our fire risk assessments and toxic refuge assessments
7. Attend HAZID and BOWTIE meetings as required
8. Develop, manage and deliver effective security and access arrangements for the site
9. Produce & develop Emergency Response Plans
10. Organise emergency and security exercises/drills to test emergency response arrangements as required, results are used to continuously improve service and provide evidence to management
11. Carry out assessments for Rescue Arrangement for short duration work at height.
12. Carry out assessments for confined space work on site.
13. Carry out assessments of trained Site Incident Controllers
14. Arrange logistics of equipment / PPE and supplies between site / HQ
15. Manage first response emergency medical care service
16. Manage the inspection, maintenance and improvements to emergency and security equipment and infrastructure, in-line with legislative requirements and best practice
17. Carryout roles as the Company Appointed Functional Advisor for Facility Siting and Fire Risk Assessment
18. Contribute to the effective management of the emergency and security fixed costs budgets
19. Liaise with external bodies e.g. business insurers, trade bodies as required
20. Plan, deliver, record and monitor all operational staff training
21. Develop and implement service agreements with CFB teams/individuals to ensure CIC contracts are managed effectively
22. Maintain competence of teams by carrying out workplace assessment, personal development reviews and maintain personal development records in accordance with CFB Risk Managements procedure
23. Provide suitable and sufficient training activities that support the maintenance of the role competence in terms of the required skills and knowledge
General Management
1. Maintain link between CFBRM senior managers and CFBRM site workers
2. Contribute to the development and improvement of H&S arrangements and implement agreed actions to enhance the site performance overall
3. Manage the quality of Service Delivery of contract to comply with ISO9001, ISO45001 & ISO14001
4. Support the continuous improvement of CFB Risk Management Services CIC products and services
5. Support and promote equality and diversity, respect and dignity for all staff and members of our local communities in line with Company policy
6. Carry out duties and align all work to the Environmental strategy and ensure the station and all work undertaken is compatible.
7. Carry out all duties as detailed in the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
MUST haves, Minimum Requirement:
1. At least 2 years industrial operational experience in a relevant industry setting (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Nuclear, Fire Fighting, Alternative Energy within High Tier COMAH Sites)
2. At least 2 years in a management role of Operational Staff in a relevant industry
Highly Desirable:
1. Extensive experience in Operational support at Multi Site High tier COMAH Sites
2. Incident Command Qualified
3. Advanced level HSE Qualifications
4. Training Instructor Qualifications
5. IFE Membership
6. Experience with off shore Wind and/or GWO accreditation
7. Experience with ERP’s, FRA’s & Incident Command Training (all levels).
8. Experience in industrial firefighting & technical consultancy.
9. Experience in using PHAST
10. Consequence modelling
