Entity: Customers & Products Job Family Group: Retail Group Job Description: The Head of Property & Network development strategy plays a key role in strategically delivering the overall network strategy and plan for our UK Retail Business. In this role you will be ensuring that the entire network and property portfolio delivers profitability and growth towards the business goals, in both sustaining the network and growing the customer base. This is a critical role in the leadership team to drive ownership, strategy and accountability towards our UK performance and delivery. With your dedicated team of 5, you’ll be involved in exciting initiatives to steer our retail estate through the energy transition – helping bp and the world reach net zero. Doing the right thing is key for bp and you’ll oversee projects and procedures to ensure that all real estate transactions are undertaken in line with bp’s safety policy, code of conduct and financial framework. Key Responsibilities: P&L accountability for the UK network business including performance management accountability across the UK property portfolio Develop & own strategic roadmap and performance improvement plan for the UK network and property portfolio (monthly, Quarterly, long term view 3-5 years) Understand and lead on the integrated network portfolio with bp pulse and other energy teams. Leading the UK Network Commercial Development Team, you’ll be responsible for shaping bp’s network of forecourts in the UK – developing a strong relationship with the external real estate market to deliver our network plans General estate management of the existing estate of 300 petrol filling station sites and close working relations with joint EV sites Leading strategic acquisition (greenfield land, brownfield, operational) of high-grading, future-proofed opportunities/assets to support the energy transition and maintain existing performance Lead UK portfolio optimisation programme of underperforming assets including disposals and improvement plan reviews, end to end ownership and delivery Manage lease re-gears, renewals, surrenders and general estate risk, ensuring insights and foresight analyses is present at the respective governance boards Lead the relationship management of >100 Landlords and the estate Joint Venture Negotiation and collaboration with DNOs, Landlords and solicitors to roll out estate-wide EV infrastructure Consistent collaboration with bp’s convenience partner, M&S, and their Property Team to drive value Lead presentations as required at governance, business reviews and leadership meetings ensuring accurate data and strategy alignment Owner of key strategic external customer relationships & government relationships Lead on capex & ravex control that have been established for all assets related to projects within UK M&C business.
