MIS Consultant - Location: Hybrid with occasional travel to Leeds Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 FTE School ICT is one of the largest, independent providers of MIS support in the country. We currently offer support and consultancy services to over 1600 schools on a national basis. Due to our continued success, we are now recruiting for a MIS Consultant with a focus on FMS to join our team working on a hybrid basis with occasional travel to our head office in Leeds. Are you familiar with the following MIS Packages: Arbor/Arbor Finance, Bromcom, Integris, Scholarpack or SIMS/FMS? Are you an experienced School user or work in a similar role support who has experience of FMS and are looking for a new challenge? As a MIS Consultant, your role will be to provide remote FMS and MIS support, facilitate communications between schools and School ICT, stay up to date with the latest products, services and developments as well as provide comprehensive MIS support service to Schools and Academies delivered via the MIS service desk and via the creation of support resources. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of at least 2 MIS packages, particularly FMS, SIMS, Arbor, and Bromcom. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, be highly organised, and a proactive self-learner. The successful candidate will work hybrid/remotely, with occasional travel to our Leeds offices. Responsibilities: Provide FMS/MIS support for secondary and primary schools Provide first line telephone, remote and onsite support across the full range of supported MIS software modules to staff within schools, adhering to priorities for both secondary and primary schools Log all queries and requests into the Customer help desk system to ensure appropriate tracking and reporting Understand and adhere to MIS KPIs Keep schools regularly informed of progress if a case has been logged or data sent to a software supplier Ensure emails are monitored and responded to every day Test and implement new MIS products and upgrades Support schools transitioning to new MIS Platforms Support the configuration and update of MIS systems in schools, working with colleagues across the company as required Keep abreast of new developments in software and keeping schools informed Impart your specialist knowledge to the MIS Support team through formal and informal training Develop and regularly maintain high quality support documentation Assist and support MIS Senior Consultants when delivering online training courses/webinars Advise and guide schools on school improvements/processes whilst promoting effective use of the school's MIS systems. Enable schools to complete their DfE statutory requirements by holding seminars and delivering training sessions. Develop and maintain high quality support documentation You will report to the MIS Manager and Team Leaders. Skills/Abilities Essential A professional, cheerful and clear telephone manner with a focus on excellent customer service skills Excellent knowledge of all areas of one or more of the FMS and MIS modules, including FMS, Arbor Finance Attendance/Lesson Monitor, Reporting, Assessments, Statutory Returns, End of Year and SEN Be familiar with the statutory data returns required for local and national government bodies. Accomplished user of Microsoft Office and associated software packages Excellent problem-solving skills, being able to think outside the box to find resolutions. Able to interpret complex documentation and communicate findings verbally and in written documents. Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and still meet deadlines. Comfortable working either in a team or independently A self-learner with excellent organisation skills Have an eye for detail. Desirable Experience of working on a busy and demanding help desk Excellent knowledge of Arbor/Arbor Finance, Bromcom or SIMS/FMS Knowledge of Exams, Assessment and Individual reports, School Workforce Census, Cover Manager, Pupil Census, Post 16, Timetabling, Behavior Management and Attendance. Additional Information: The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Hold a Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle We offer a competitive salary of £23,000 - £27,000 FTE, depending on experience.
