The Accounts Coordinator role
The responsibilities for this role will include:
1. Managing the full cycle of the Subcontract Ledger including order, payment and CIS compliance processes;
2. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, resolving queries and delivering best in class customer service;
3. Twice weekly payment runs for all Subcontractor Payment Certificates;
4. Assist in cash management by ensuring adherence to payment process and cycles with Subcontractors and sites;
5. Calculation and payment of CIS Tax to HMRC each month;
6. Administration of Subcontractor accounts within the finance systems;
7. Other ad hoc projects as required assisting Finance and other departments.
Your profile
You will be a team player who can work closely with your peers. You will have a high level of numeracy, excellent attention to detail, and strong time management and problem-solving skills. Ideally, you will have experience working in an office environment, possess good Excel and Word skills, and be educated to a minimum level of GCSE or equivalent, with passes in Mathematics and English.
1. Educated to a minimum GCSE standard, including Maths (essential)
2. AAT or further education (desirable)
3. Previous experience working in a Finance environment (essential)
4. Ability to manage competing demands, adaptable, hands-on, and detail-oriented (essential)
5. Effective and knowledgeable communicator, able to relate to both internal and external staff, suppliers, and stakeholders (essential)
6. Previous experience and understanding of Subcontractor Accounts/Accounts payable (desirable)
7. Construction and contract knowledge and background (desirable)
8. Strong technical skills, including Excel (essential)
