Please note that this role is based at our Old Windsor centre and is a part-time opportunity.
Here at Battersea, our Cattery Team is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every cat in their journey through Battersea. This is a very meaningful role where you will work directly with the cats, impacting their lives.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with experience of working with cats, strong customer service skills, and experience of dealing with sensitive issues with empathy and resilience.
What we can offer you:
1. 28 days of annual leave (plus 8 days paid public holidays) per year
2. Discounted gym memberships and cycle to work schemes
3. Employee Assistance Programme and access to Wellbeing Resources

5. Free healthcare cash plan, where you can claim for a range of treatment including dental, optical, physiotherapy, chiropody and acupuncture every year
6. Annual interest-free season ticket loans
We are also committed to providing learning and development to our employees. During your time with us, we provide support for your professional and career development, including access to digital and in-person training programmes, leadership and management training, mentoring and much more.
Working with our dogs and cats:
We are here for every dog and cat. Within our operational roles, this means providing the highest level of care and husbandry to our animals. Every day will be different and will sometimes involve emotionally challenging situations. Battersea has created an ethos of open conversations and carefully curated wellbeing initiatives to support our employees handling these scenarios. It is also important to note that the role is very physical and does involve a lot of manual tasks which are required to provide the exceptional standards of care to our animals. We ask you consider these aspects of the role carefully before applying.
