Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a people and customer focused individual to join the team as a Transport Planner & Scheduler here in York. This is one of the few roles in Supply Chain where you get to work with all our amazing NiM businesses.

A day in the life of a Scheduler
Reporting into the Scheduling Team Leader, you will work as part of the team that is responsible for Transport Planning across NiM, perform a variety of roles, depending upon skill levels, including load planning, vehicle scheduling, haulage procurement and data analysis to provide best cost, best service for Logistics and NUK&I, Waters, Purina and CPUK.
Key responsibilities include:
1. To build work schedules for Own Fleet and third party columns that are highly efficient and deliver excellent customer service. You will also act as the main contact to factories and chocolate supply chain.
2. To buy in third party transport using the prescribed process, to achieve best costs and excellent customer service.
3. To undertake NUK DC Planning and Atlas load planning for NIM DCs to manage volumes within the agreed capacities, and act as main contact for a Nestlé Waters.
What will make you successful
To be successful in this role you will ideally come from a Supply Chain background with an excellent understanding and knowledge of Nestlé Supply Chain.
