This is an exciting secondment opportunity to take up a dual role leading the South Coast Institute of Technology marketing strategy (0.8 FTE) and supporting the Southampton Solent apprenticeship team (0.2 FTE) with their marketing strategy. Be the driving force behind our brand visibility and student recruitment. The post is a one year fixed term secondment but there is a high possibility that it could be extended beyond this. This vacancy is a dual role leading the marketing strategy for the South Coast Institute of Technology (IoT) and supporting the Southampton Solent apprenticeship team. The smaller of the roles is working with the Southampton Solent apprenticeship team (0.2 FTE). In this role you will support the apprenticeship team to create content and drive recruitment through effective social media and face to face marketing. You will also work closely with external relations staff at Southampton Solent University to ensure digital and print assets are accurate and kept up to date. The larger of the posts is working with the South Coast IoT (0.8 FTE). The IoT is a collaboration of universities, colleges, and employers working together to build talent pipelines into the maritime, engineering, and digital industries. Southampton Solent University is the lead partner in the collaboration. We're looking for an outstanding person to lead our communication and marketing strategy. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and reviewing a communication and marketing plan. Working in collaboration with our education partners your goal is to internally raise awareness of the South Coast IoT brand, vision, mission, and values; and increase learner recruitment through greater external awareness of the brand and career pathways. You will lead the South Coast IoT marketing group, building and maintaining strong positive relationships with relevant colleagues across our partner organisations to maximise the collaborative communication and marketing efforts of the group. In both roles you will be responsible for planning, creating and sharing print and digital content and marketing activities to increase brand awareness, reputation and student recruitment. And you will monitor the results of the work you do, to identify best practice and will regularly report back on results. We are looking for a creative person with excellent knowledge of multimedia communication and marketing. Knowledge of FE and HE education, apprenticeships, and STEM careers are also highly desirable. You must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team. In this role you will be required to travel to our partner colleges, schools, employers and to industry events, so you will need transport and a willingness to be flexible in your working patterns. This role is one year fixed term and may be suitable for a secondment - there is a high possibility that it could be extended beyond this.
