About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team as secondment while the new ERP implementation project is ongoing. You will report directly to the Financial Accounting Controller and be responsible for leading the technical aspects of the team with specific responsibility for:
Here are your key tasks and responsibilities as Senior Financial Accountant at Refresco:
* Delivering key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; validation of completeness and accuracy of the financial submission.
* Support of acquisition accounting and structure changes, opening balance sheet provisions, fair value assessments, share and asset acquisitions, disposal of business elements.
* Responsible for the business fixed asset accounting process by ensuring all controls and processes for asset capitalisation are met, delivering accurate financial information.
* Budget and forecast for Capital and Depreciation items and monthly tracking, reporting, and analysis of spend.
* Lead end-to-end process of leases under IFRS16 standard, including recording contracts in lease systems, follow-up with month-end process, and reporting monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
* Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Liaison with external auditors regarding responsible areas.
* Reviewing and checking weekly and daily payment runs and also approving in the bank portal.
* Complete various ONS surveys – monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
* Responsible for submitting data to the agency for Climate Change Levy return across the sites.
* Preparing various provisions and accruals in accounts.
About You
You will need previous experience working within a large financial accounting department, within a medium or large-scale organisation, and you will need to be CIMA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with several years of post-qualification financial accounting experience.
You will be a team player, with a collaborative, supportive style of leadership, using your considerable expertise to coach, develop, and guide colleagues.
You will have excellent influencing and communication skills which enable you to build fantastic relationships with all stakeholders across the Refresco UK business.
You have a real passion for what you do; you don’t need anyone to motivate you, and you enjoy working autonomously.
