About the Role As a Mutual Exchange Officer you will work within the Housing Options team to deliver a coordinated, customer focussed and effectively managed mutual exchange service to Nottingham City Council Housing Services (NCCHS) tenants. About You The ideal candidate will have: Must be flexible and be prepared to work outside normal office hours, on occasion, and at various locations according to the needs of the service. May include visiting tenants in their homes. A working knowledge and awareness and understanding of current housing issues and legislation, in particular in relation to Allocations and Mutual Exchanges and Welfare Reforms Experience of working within a team and of proactively working towards joint targets Ability to represent the service by developing and maintaining effective liaison and relationships with internal and external representatives and other bodies. Experience of working within a housing management environment and an ability to learn. Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to a range of customers, and the ability to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
