Role: Playworker Based: (Multiple Locations) Hart & Rushmoor, Winchester, Alton, New Forest Rate: £11.44 Start Date: ASAP Duration: Permanent Hours: 16 Hours Per Week Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity, is looking to recruit several Playworkers To provide play sessions to pre-school and school age children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying at the refuge. This will be through both structured and free play. Synopsis of duties: Work to empower and support children/young people to make positive choices. To provide holistic support, advice and assistance to women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in the refuge. Supporting families to be free from domestic abuse Plan and deliver age-appropriate structured and free play activities to children and young people living in refuges To help children begin the healing process of working through their traumatic experiences of domestic abuse and change. To help organise and supervise children’s activities during the day and after school as needed. These can be on and off the premises. Ensuring that all relevant records are kept accurately and in a timely manner.Essential Requirements: A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle Experience of working with children and young people. An understanding and knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
