We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Head of Marketing and Communications. You will lead the Foundations Marketing and Communications function, in alignment with Liverpool Football Clubs Marketing and Communications activity, working closely with Club teammates to deliver a joined-up communication approach. A key focus for this role is the development of the existing team alongside identifying what additional resource may be required to help us achieve our goals. This new role will be part of the Foundation senior leadership team and will work with the Foundation CEO, other members of the Foundation senior leadership team, and Club colleagues to develop and implement a new Marketing and Communications strategy. This will be key in enabling us to achieve the Foundations ambitious growth strategy for 2025 – 2030 by developing the way that we tell the story of our work and its impact in the Liverpool City Region, across the UK and internationally. Liverpool Football Club Foundation is the Official Charity of one of the world’s biggest football clubs and greatest football families, with millions of supporters worldwide. What will you be doing? Strategic development and campaign activation Lead theFoundation’smarketing approach to ensure it embraces a multi-channel, real time, data driven, increasingly automatedapproach across allprogrammes, media streams and 3rdparties Advancing the profile and reputation ofLFC Foundationthrough thestrategicdelivery of a range of initiatives including communications, printed materialsmedia, digital marketing, social media, PR, and promotional activity. Lead in increasing awareness of the Foundation's impact locally, across the UK and internationally. Lead the development of annual brand themes to create integrated marketing communications across the Foundation, including Programmes, Community Engagement communications/PR and media. Lead the contentstrategy to supportcharitystory telling across the integrated brand theme. Work closelyandmaintainalignment with Club’s Marketing and Communications teams to coordinate joint communications activitiesandparticipatein Club marketing,mediaand communications forward planning to ensure external Foundation activity receives maximum exposure via Club channels Ensure the wider Foundation brand hierarchy is aligned to the Club’s “brand play book” Ensure Foundation programmes which support Club CSR are appropriately positioned in external communication e.g. Red Neighbours Ensure all Marketing & Comms/PR protects the charity, with support and direction from LFC’s Communications Team, and minimises risk and isin accordance withLFC Foundation / LFC policy and procedures. Senior Leadership team responsibilities Be an active and collaborative member of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team working closely with colleagues to maximise partnership working opportunities across the Foundation. Prepare and manage monthly and annual budgets for the Marketing and Comms department Responsible for managing and authorising departmental expenditure to ensure costs are within LFC Foundation’s business development and partnerships budget. Set,monitorand report on short-term and long-term department goals. People Management Lead the Foundationmarketingteamwith line management responsibility for the Senior Marketing Managerwho currently manages a team of three colleagues.Delivering coaching to the Senior Marketing Manager to plan and deliver impactful and creative collateral, communications, and campaigns, ensuring donor, partner and contractual rights are met. Provide written performance reports and updates for the LFC Foundation Board, funders, partners and other operational requirements. Manage and develop staff through 121s and ongoing performance management and development plans. Lead in line with the Foundation’s values and principles – role modelling those behaviours as part of the Senior Leadership team and inday-to-dayinteractions across the Foundation and the Club Who are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will have proven, recent experience as a senior marketeer and communications professional with leadership skills and the ability to set and prioritise goals. You will have experience in working with both external marketing agency providers and building in house marketing team. You will bring experience of creating and delivering a impactful Comms & PR Strategy and experience running successful multi-channel marketing campaigns. The right candidate will be confident in presenting to senior business leaders and stakeholders (internal and external) have proven people management and team development skills. You will have a good understanding of the LFC Foundation and its parent club, Liverpool Football Club. You will have experience in to monitoring and evaluation of the impact of marketing campaigns, demonstrating the value returned from different marketing approaches. As well as experience and knowledge of how to approach B2B marketing vs B2C marketing and the best routes to achieve both with ability to apply B2B comms marketing to elevate a Brand and it’s profile in order to develop lead generation. For this role, you will be analytical, innovate and a creative thinker. You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, Comms/PR, business development or a related field. You will have strong knowledge of digital marketing techniques and experience using database/CRM/Sales Management tools. As well as this, you will have experience and understanding of marketing technology programmes - marketing automation platforms.
