Job Description
Duties of the Executive Support and Governance Lead:
* Leading on projects arising from the Senior Leadership team
* Providing Governance support to each group member organisation, including the co-ordination of key activities and documents
* Leading on communication updates
* Coordinating Board meetings across each member organisation including collation and distribution of papers
* Coordinating the Audit and Risk Committee including collating and distributing papers & ensuring that audit actions are followed through to completion
* Coordinating and chairing the Group Health and Safety committee, working alongside external advisors
* Coordinating the activity of the Policy Action Group, including roll out of policies and associated processes
* Coordinating the activity of the software development group
* Supporting the exec team with monitoring and reporting on risks
* Undertake quality assurance checks across the groups compliance activities in conjunction with the Asset Management Team and providing detailed reporting to SLT and Boards/Committees
* Supporting annual governance processes, submissions and returns, including record keeping for contracts, board and employee declarations
* Supporting the regular updating of the website and SharePoint pages for colleagues, Board and Committee members
* Undertake any ad-hoc finance and business tasks as required and commensurate with the role.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Executive Support and Governance Lead should have:
* Experience supporting at board level
* Experience chairing committees
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong knowledge of governance best practices
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
