Salary : £38,200.00 - £49,400.00,Annual About the Role To support, advise and lead the Regional Maintenance Controllers team and apply the Central Transport maintenance policy, drawing on experience and in-depth technical knowledge of commercial vehicle repairs. To provide technical support to both internal and external workshops and repairers. To decide on the best and most cost-effective route for high-cost/technically complex repairs whilst ensuring supplier SLA adherence. What you’ll be doing Offering day-to-day support and leadership for the Regional Maintenance Controllers. Ensuring that the vehicle fleet adheres to the scheduled maintenance, MOT and safety inspection regime, along with sign-off and approval of all high-value vehicle repair invoices. Authorising and controlling all technically complex repairs relating to maintenance, defect, accident repairs, tyres, windscreens etc for all JLP vehicles. Aiming to achieve KPIs for cost, quality and downtime in the Fleet Maintenance Department. Maintaining relationships with internal and external suppliers and directing the repairs to the most appropriate supplier. Aiming to maximise the use of in-house workshops. What you’ll have Motor trade / workshop control/ Fleet operations experience Working with both Heavy & Light vehicles Operator Licence fleet operations experience IT - Excel, Word, Google Sheets Full UK driving licence What else could you bring NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in commercial vehicle repair CPC in Road Transport Professional affiliation e.g SOE Bracknell-based role may involve inclusion in the Branch out-of-hours escalation phone rota.
