Job Description
Our Programme Advisory team specialises in the strategy, set-up and transformation of major programmes and asset owning enterprises within the Transport, Defence, Utilities, and Power Sectors in the UK and internationally. Our Programme Advisory division was created in 2018 and has since grown significantly in size and capability with a track record of delivering complex transformations both in the UK and internationally. We are constantly evolving and finding better ways to work and support our clients, so we need people who are equally energetic and passionate about making a difference and playing a part in this growth.
We are seeking to recruit consultants at Associate Director level with a keen passion for Strategy & Transformation to join our expanding team. The successful individual will be focused within our National Security sector, leading high-value and impactful commissions, to deliver business change solutions. Previous experience within the National Security sector (with the appropriate clearances) is key and an ability to attend client site(s) on a regular basis (across several geographic locations, potentially away from your base office) will be essential aspects of the role.
We work across the entire transformation lifecycle from initial diagnostics to delivery and embedment of new ways of working. We are looking for talented, dedicated people who feel their experience and skills could support the transformation of our clients' programmes and organisations. You will have hands-on strategy development and/or transformation delivery experience and are proficient in using a range of various tools and techniques to enable successful outcomes.
As an Associate Director your key responsibilities will include:
* Exceeding client expectations; through managing a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to deliver client outcomes. This will include structuring and delivering outputs, and close team management to make sure the balance of skills and capability are right for the task at hand.
* Leading business change and transformation across any or all aspects of an operating model (e.g. people, organisation, processes or systems).
* Building strong client relationships, helping them to shape their planning and delivery of complex transformation.
* Leading change management activity, including facilitating workshops, developing deliverables, delivering communications, and managing client stakeholders.
* Leading the programme management of transformation programmes, including programme setup, planning, reporting and governance, and benefits management.
* Leading and supporting key activities within the Programme Advisory team including internal development of transformation products and approaches.
* Identifying and understanding areas of opportunity and development, contributing to business generation through pursuits, bidding and development of trusted client relationships.
* Engaging across areas of the Turner & Townsend business, driving and maintaining a 'One Business' ethos.
* Effectively managing risks and maximising commercial returns, applying business acumen.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in consultancy and delivery within the National Security sector (with the appropriate clearances) is essential!
* Undergraduate degree or Master's degree, with relevant industry experience in a consulting or in-house change Ideally experience working in a consulting environment (other consultancies or as an internal consultant) or be able to demonstrate a consulting skillset
* Proven track record of leading teams on client commissions
* A proven track record of leading solution development and delivering tangible results on change and transformation projects through the application of business change methodologies
* Experience of programme and project management within a complex change environment with multiple workstreams (e.g. operating model transformation programmes)
* Experience of managing stakeholders within large and complex organisations
* Experience of designing and facilitating client workshops
* Experience of operating model design in complex programme environments
* Experience of managing the production of high-quality transformation deliverables within challenging timescales
* Experience of developing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
* Proven experience in preparing, defining and delivering bid proposals desirable.
* Change management and transformation qualifications are favourable (e.g., MSP, APMG Change Management Foundation/Practitioner, PROSCI)
