An opportunity has arisen for an Qualified Social Worker to join the specialist Autism team in Blackpool.
This Team has been functioning for the past 5 years. This is a growing team made up of 5 qualified social workers, 1 case Assessor and 4 support workers.
There is a requirement to be able to work closely with your team colleagues but also with other agencies including Police, Probation, care providers, health colleagues and other services/teams within Blackpool Council.
There will be support and training for the successful candidate.
This is a permanent full time post.
The post holder will work with adults Identified as Autistic and those awaiting a diagnostic assessment. The team assess autistic adults' need under the Care Act 2014 eligibility criteria and provide support through our team of specialist support workers, as well as commissioning support with care providers. The team are at present using the "3 conversation" approach to connect people to services and resources, work intensively with people in crisis and plan long term support.
The team also assesses the needs and of, and provides support to, families and informal carers of autistic adults.

This post is subject to satisfactory reference history of at least two years, Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of Right to Work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
