This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience to join our support team, underpinning our extensive IT department. The role will be based from the CITS office in Redruth, but will work flexibly across Cornwall NHS sites and home.
We are recruiting a full time, permanent Service Management System Administrator to take the lead in the maintenance, administration and continual improvement of our IT Service Management tool, Service Management Automation (SMAX).
The post holder will report directly to the Service Desk Manager and work in a team of three. The ideal candidate will be service focussed, an excellent communicator and proactive in their pursuit of continuous service improvement.
The development of SMAX and the continuing roadmap of module release will be a priority for this team, alongside supporting the implementation of our electronic patient record.
We are looking for a person with the following skills, attributes and experience:
Practical experience in the implementation of IT systems or projects:
Planning implementations
Testing
Training
Release and change management
Development
Ongoing maintenance/administration
Knowledge and understanding of integrations – the system connects with mail services, ADFS, Connect-IT and will require future APIs for new services
Underpinning knowledge of an IT Service Desk function in a busy, dynamic environment
Excellent communications skills
IT Service Management qualified (ITIL certification) an advantage
Knowledge of Expression language (or programming in general) an advantage, specifically REST API or JSON knowledge
Flexibility to work out of office hours occasionally, to minimise outages for customers
Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively
