Advanced Recruit are working with a leading Manufacturer of Automation/Switchgear based in the heart of Telford. Due to growth within the business, they have requirements for a Project Engineer/Electrical Design Engineer.
Position requires thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques, as well as CAD skills. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgement in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.

2. Single Line Diagrams
3. Advanced Electrical Drawings – CAD Based (Autodesk)
4. Specifications
5. Panel Layouts
6. Bill of materials
Essential functions:
1. Identify customer requirements
2. Read design specifications and technical drawings
3. Research suitable solutions and estimate costs and timescales
4. Work to standards, including British (BS) and European (EN)
5. Liaise with others in the design team
6. Communicate with clients and contractors
7. Attend meetings on site
8. Design and conduct tests
9. Qualify the final product or system
10. Prepare product documentation, write reports and give presentations
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum a Bachelor’s degree accredited in a related field; or advanced degree.
2. Proven experience in engineering and project management.
3. Strong technical knowledge of processes, equipment, and materials.
4. Proficiency in engineering software tools and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Knowledge of relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
