Job Title: Powertrain Fuel Systems Engineer
At Emotiv Technical Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Fuel Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our powertrain development team, you will be responsible for delivering air, fuel, and exhaust development and validation testing in accordance with component and vehicle development plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define component and system targets with the design team
* Create and maintain test procedures
* Develop and own component, system, and vehicle development plans
* Plan and execute mechanical development and performance development testing
* Ensure supplier validation and integrity of supplier development plans
* Lead problem-solving investigations during the development program
* Collaborate with the vehicle team to integrate air, fuel, and exhaust systems into the powertrain
* Work closely with build teams to ensure optimized instrumentation layout and requirements
* Collaborate with virtual validation teams to guide analysis and correlation to test results
* Analyze and interpret physical test results to correlate simulation and validate design function
* Optimize current test procedures and data analysis tools
* Develop close working relationships with external partners
* Collaborate with the calibration team to ensure correct and reliable performance
* Support the PT Systems S.E.T team as an active member
Qualifications and Experience:
* Extensive experience in hands-on powertrain testing and development roles
* Failure investigations and problem-solving
* Managing and developing external engineering resources
* Driving optimization through analysis
* Closely collaborating with design and simulation teams, understanding data analysis and design processes
* Working across functional teams effectively to deliver viable design solutions
* Managed concern resolution
* Working within an OEM environment
* Prior demonstration of testing budget and timing management
* Italian language skills
* Industry-standard dyno and vehicle validation procedures
* Astute project control, including resource planning, timing, milestones, and meeting disciplines
* Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, strong background in powertrain development
* Industry-related courses - HV electrification safety awareness
