The Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of our civil engineering and groundworks projects. Based in Newark, you will leverage the latest technology and equipment, supporting site operations and driving project quality and efficiency.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Perform precise setting out and surveying for various civil engineering and groundworks projects.
* Ensure that work adheres to project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
* Oversee site progress, quality control, and compliance with health and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure seamless site operations.
* Maintain accurate site records, reports, and as-built drawings.
* Conduct site inspections and assessments to uphold quality standards.
* Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the civil engineering and groundworks sector.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in setting out, surveying, and using relevant instruments and software.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, effective communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and collaboration.
* Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Travel Requirements: Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
