THE POST REPUBLIC specialises in delivering the best post production solutions including editing, colour grading, sound design, mixing, and final deliverables. As an award-winning studio, we collaborate on outstanding and varied content for some of the biggest names in the global entertainment industry including Netflix, Amazon Studios, Paramount, BBC Studios and Sky, to name but a few.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented DI Operator to help manage the digital elements of footage for films and TV shows. In this role, you will support the DI Supervisor/Online Editor with tasks such as data handling, quality control, and ensuring best practices in digital workflows. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the quality and integrity of our visual content.
Responsibilities:
* Support the DI Supervisor/Online Editor in managing the digital elements of footage.
* Assist in compiling and duplicating on-set data for films and TV shows to ensure its safety.
* Report to the DI Supervisor/Online Editor, with the potential for changes at the company’s discretion.
* Perform backups of footage and ensure compliance with best practices for file formats, digital filing, and backups.
* Conduct quality checks on recorded material to identify and report issues requiring correction.
* Utilize cloud-sharing portals and file-sharing networks efficiently.
* Apply digital camera knowledge to advise the supervisor and clients on any necessary corrections in footage (e.g., misaligned frames or distracting shadows).
* Monitor and maintain consistency in colours, baseline, and exposure levels throughout the footage.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience in a post-production environment.
* Strong knowledge of camera formats, storage media, and computer systems.
* Problem-solving skills, particularly in fixing equipment, technology, and cable connections.
* Exceptional attention to detail, especially under pressure, with the ability to spot changes in colour and tones.
* Proficiency in software such as Baselight and DaVinci Resolve Studio, with a commitment to staying updated on software developments and the best tools for the job.
* Excellent communication skills to ensure a seamless workflow with the team.
* Highly organized and efficient in managing tasks and workflows.
* In addition to your regular duties, you may be required to undertake other responsibilities at the company’s discretion.
This role is based at our London office in Old Street.
