We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual who has a definite interest in working within our Mental Health Physiotherapy Inpatients Team.
This diverse role involves providing support to a team of Physiotherapy clinicians working in our Mental Health Inpatient Wards, providing Physiotherapy assessments under set protocols and parameters and delivering both 1:1 and group-based treatment sessions.
The role is flexible and you will work closely with physiotherapy staff, patients, and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Clinical Support Worker is essential; the successful candidate will have excellent communication, prioritisation, and delegation skills. You will be supported to complete our in-house local competency training framework which will enable you to manage your own delegated caseload, delivering interventions under the supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist.
You will receive regular professional and management supervision and will be supported to develop enhanced skills in this specialist area.

* Relevant qualification as detailed in person specification or equivalent level of sound proven working experience in a similar role within a Physiotherapy service.
* Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently within professional parameters and protocol.
* Ability to establish a rapport with service users.
* Experience in providing client-centred, goal-orientated treatment plans to meet the specific needs of service users.
* Excellent communication, prioritisation, time management, and delegation skills.
* Skills in a range of appropriate standardised and informal assessments.
* Sound experience of multi-disciplinary teamwork.
* Awareness of and adherence to the CSP Standards of Good Physiotherapy Practice.
* Ability to use IT systems.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Health and Social Care Assistant Practitioner Level 5 Apprenticeship (FdSc) or a Health and Social Care Foundation Degree (Fda) or equivalent in the specialty field.
* Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
* Demonstrate the knowledge and skills applicable to the post as detailed in the person specification.
Knowledge and Experience
* Physiotherapy Team working experience.
* Previous experience of a similar or the same role within a Physiotherapy service.
* Able to follow instructions recognising the boundaries of own competency.
* Experience of supervising/teaching individuals.
Skills and Competencies
* Ability to use IT systems.
* Ability to establish a rapport with service users.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* To be able to demonstrate specific theoretical knowledge as described in service role descriptor.
* Experience of moving and handling legislation.

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 a year pro rata per annum.
