Role: Echocardiographer Banding: Band 7 Location: Preston Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP End Date: January 2025 Rate: £55 - £60 per hour Duration: Ongoing Shift Pattern: 8:00AM – 4:00PM (Cross-site cover required, Possible weekend shifts) About the role: The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a highly specialised Echocardiographer to join our team in Preston. The ideal candidate will have BSE or EACVI accreditation and be proficient in all aspects of pacing follow-up and cathlab work. This role requires flexibility, as cross-site cover and potential weekend shifts are necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform Echocardiograms : Conduct comprehensive echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography. Pacing Follow-Up : Manage and follow up on patients with pacemakers, ensuring proper device function and patient well-being. Cath lab Work : Assist in the cardiac catheterization lab, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure care. Patient Care : Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during procedures. Data Analysis : Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data, providing accurate and timely reports to the medical team. Collaboration : Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent. Accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent accreditation (EACVI/ARDMS). Minimum of 3 years of experience in echocardiography. Desirable: Experience in advanced echocardiographic techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Competence in all aspects of Pacing follow-up and Cathlab work. Why work with Pulse?
