Our UK Engineering team is expanding and an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer from an electrical background has arisen to join our existing Engineering department at our NKT Applications, Runcorn cable manufacturing facility.
With your background and experience in all things electrical including PLC’s, you would be part of an emerging manufacturing facility, in a varied role, working Monday to Fridays, with some occasional overtime. We will provide you with on the job training on specialist equipment and you will be part of a close knit team who are supporting our growth journey as we increase manufacturing capacity – availability of equipment is essential.
You will be responsible for routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding for our facility with specialist machinery to ensure efficiency is maintained across the site.
This role would suit an electrical maintenance engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar industry looking to join a Global Cable Manufacturer.
The Role
* You will be responsible for routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding for our facility with specialist machinery to ensure efficiency is maintained across the site.
* Identify and implement improvements on equipment.
* Ensure compliance with relevant site HSE guidelines.
* Support production.
The Person
We are looking for a person who is knowledgeable about all things electrical, who can be accountable and responsible for delivery of an engineering service to the business. An innovative team-oriented person, willing to share their knowledge and experience with the team.
Your qualifications and experience should include:
* Time served apprentice – Electrical Bias.
* HNC/HND recommended but not essential.
* IOSH Training.
* 5+ years Electrical Instrumentation and controls.
* PLC Fault findings experience.
* A basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic understanding would be beneficial but not essential.
