As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, working with students to enhance their learning experience. You will provide one-on-one or group support, assist with classroom management, and help students with additional needs to achieve their potential. Responsibilities of the Secondary Teaching Assistant : Provide classroom support to teachers, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to support their learning and development. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing individual learning plans for students. Support students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities. Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and activities. Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement. Requirements of the Secondary Teaching Assistant : Experience working in a secondary school or with secondary-aged students is preferred. A proactive and patient approach to supporting students’ academic and emotional needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Show flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a secondary school environment. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
