Finance Assistant – Exeter / Remote - £22-26,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been reengaged by one of our longest standing clients, a high profile financial services business with a superb reputation for employee retention and development. They seek to recruit an experienced Finance/Accounts Assistant, a broad role that will work closely with the company’s portfolio of high net worth landlords and property investors operating throughout the UK. This is a permanent, full time opportunity and this employer promotes a blended working arrangement with flexible working hours to suit the successful candidate.
Working as part of a highly experienced team, this will be an important position within the property team and liaise closely with a range of clients. Key responsibilities to include:
- General bookkeeping using the company’s bespoke accounting software (full training provided)
- Client bank reconciliations
- Preparation of client reports and invoice statements
- Submitting payment runs
- Assisting client managers in the preparation of management accounts
- Monitor aged debtor and assist with credit control tasks where required
- Act as a first line of contact for client enquiries
- Ad-hoc project accounting tasks where required
For this role we seek a candidate with at least 12-18 months of recent gained accounting experience, ideally in a general bookkeeping capacity (either commercially or practice based). Candidate’s may be part/fully AAT or qualified by vocational experience. The role liaises regularly with a large portfolio of high value clients so excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential. The company uses its own bespoke accounting software where full training will be provided, but strong IT aptitude and sound MS Excel skills are desirable.
