Lightbulb Administrative Assistant

37 hours per week
Fixed term/Secondment considered until 31st March 2026.
Lightbulb is a partnership programme supported by the seven District Councils in Leicestershire and Leicestershire County Council. It brings together a range of practical housing support into a single point of access or referral. The overall ambition is to maximise the contribution that housing support can play in keeping vulnerable people independent in their homes.
As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Central Hub and Lightbulb Management. You will also be the first contact for the Lightbulb Team by receiving, processing, and administering the grants offered by Lightbulb to the residents of Leicestershire. You will deal with all customer queries, raise purchase orders, process invoices, maintain records on both Blaby District Council and Adult Social Care systems, as well as report on performance/budget data and undertake post duties at the offices.
You will ideally have knowledge of customer care and how it applies in a housing, health, or social care environment. You should have the ability to deal with vulnerable people, including communicating with them regarding sensitive issues. We are looking for an individual who has good organisational and administration skills and can work flexibly as part of a team.
We support hybrid working arrangements with a combination of onsite and home working, subject to service delivery requirements. This position will be office-based until the probation period has been passed satisfactorily; part of this job role requires essential work at our Narborough offices throughout the working week.
Benefits of working with us include:
1. Local Government Pension scheme
2. Exciting career opportunities
3. Flexible working including flexi-time scheme
4. Out of town offices with free car parking and cycle bays
