Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Tendering Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for a Tendering Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
As the Tendering Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
The Tendering Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts.
2. Experience in Building Cost Estimates from 33kV – 132kV.
3. Experience & Understanding of UK DNO's requirements (G81) for Contestable Works.
4. Knowledge of BOP works associated with Battery Storage Projects (Advantageous but not essential).
5. Ensure consistency across all project estimating and pricing, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the Client.
6. Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company.
7. Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each Client, adhering to Client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation.
8. Maintain relationships with existing Clients keeping a sales-minded attitude and seek out and build relationships with new Clients.
9. Work with the Tendering Manager and Design Team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on Client projects.
10. Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms.
11. Balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the Client by the deadline.
12. Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes. Occasional Site Visit / Client Visits will be required.
To be successful for this Tendering Engineer role you must have:
1. Experience working within a fast moving dynamic engineering company.
2. Strong customer facing skills with sales and customer service.
3. Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook & Estimation software (Simpro) advantageous.
4. Valid Driving License.
