About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our fantastic nursery in Wokingham. This role is integral to providing a high-quality early years education and care environment. You will play a key part in delivering a stimulating, safe, and nurturing atmosphere while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Purpose of the Role
The Nursery Practitioner is responsible for ensuring the daily operation of their assigned room aligns with company policies, relevant legislation, local authority guidelines, and OFSTED requirements. The role involves fostering a positive learning environment and building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Childcare and Education:
* Deliver outstanding care and education to children, meeting the highest standards.
* Plan and implement activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring observations, learning journeys, and planning are up-to-date and relevant.
* Foster a stimulating and inclusive environment that supports children’s individual development and promotes British values.
* Safeguard children’s welfare, promptly addressing and escalating concerns as per safeguarding policies.
1. Parent and Family Partnerships:
* Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents/carers, ensuring effective communication and quality handovers.
* Share relevant information with parents while maintaining an approachable and positive demeanor.
2. Team Collaboration and Communication:
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing necessary information while maintaining confidentiality.
* Adapt to different rooms and settings to support the nursery’s operational needs.
3. Administrative Responsibilities:
* Ensure all paperwork, including registration forms, settling-in documents, and daily records, is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
* Maintain confidentiality of all information, both within and outside the nursery setting.
4. Professional Conduct:
* Present a professional image at all times by adhering to the nursery’s dress code and maintaining a high standard of personal presentation.
* Arrive 10 minutes before the start of your shift and attend all required meetings, training, and events outside of regular hours.
5. Environment and Inclusion:
* Assist in maintaining high-quality environments that respect and support children’s diverse needs and stages of development.
* Promote equality of opportunity and ensure that children with additional needs are fully supported, working collaboratively with external agencies when required.
