DN Colleges Group are recruiting a part time Technician/Instructor to join our team to support learners in the Game Development Course, ensuring they receive guidance and practical skills for success.
The working hours for this role are 8:30am-5pm Monday - Wednesday, the pro rata salary is £15,312.04 - £16,077.04 per annum.
This role is primarily based at Doncaster University Centre, but there will be some travel required to University Campus North Lincolnshire (Scunthorpe).
Scope and Purpose of the Role: Provide technical and creative support to learners, maintain games and audio hardware, and assist curriculum staff to promote learner success.
Essential Criteria:
Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject or significant industry experience
Experience in sound studios and Games Development systems
Workshop facilitation skills
Knowledge of studio hardware/software (Pro Tools)
Fault finding and system testing skills
Effective communication with staff and learners
Familiarity with: Unreal Engine, 3DS Max, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unity, Adobe Creative Cloud.
Ability to lift equipmentDay-to-Day Responsibilities:
Support curriculum staff and supervise learners
Maintain recording equipment and games hardware
Provide guidance to learners
Demonstrate practical techniques and use of equipment
Manage learner attendance, records, and reporting
Attend team meetings and contribute to quality assurance
Assist with purchasing services and suppliesAdditional Duties:
