The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Planner Buyer to join our Dell Technologies EMEA team at EssenceMediacom London. As a Planner Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting the team with the planning and buying of media for our clients. This includes activation and efficient running of campaigns, negotiating with media vendors, analyzing data, and presenting recommendations to clients. You will also be trained by our team to develop responsibility for maintaining client relationships and working closely with other specialist teams within the agency.
This role will allow you to develop an understanding of Tech, B2B and Ecommerce marketing principles that are a key part of Dell’s success as a company, as well as how the media market operates, plus a good skillset in negotiation. There is a particular need for Dell Technologies in EMEA to provide a best-in-class evolution of approach to digital innovation, building on our ways of working with vendors in a bespoke way based on our client’s needs, but also provide new strategies and recommendations with the cookieless future impacting some existing elements of our approach
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate planning activities between clients and internal stakeholders
2. Develop media plans in line with strategic guidance developed by the Associate Director and Media Manager
3. Understand and implement the team’sbest in class planning processes we have bespoke built for Dell, which the candidate will be trained on in the role.
4. Interpret client briefs to develop an implementation plan.
5. Participate in client calls/meetings as required and contribute to presentation production.
6. Identify key risks to the delivery and performance against client briefs regularly and manage solutions to mitigate such risk, with support from their line manager.
7. Contribute constructively to the identification and improvement of central processes which could deliver higher performance.
8. Remain up to date with market trends and media owners’ offering to advise on future planning strategy.
9. Understand the markets and customer demographics.
