Personal Profile:
Education and Expectations Requirements:
1. Ideally you will have experience of the construction industry for a minimum of 3 years and have a sound knowledge of best building practices and products.
2. GCSE or equivalent of grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
3. A good working knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialist software as required.
4. Ability to work to tight deadlines in high pressure situations.
5. The ability to deal with difficult situations and communicate in a clear and confident manner.
6. Organisational and project management skills.
7. Have an awareness and knowledge of current legislation, regulations, construction methods and technology.
8. Flexible approach to working hours and site locations in keeping with company requirements.
9. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

11. A UK driving license.

Responsibilities:
About The Role:
To assist with the management of all external consultants to the technical team in the production of all drawings for the design and construction of new housing site developments along with private renovation contracts. To follow a brief from the internal and external stakeholders, negotiate with the appropriate authorities to obtain satisfactory approvals in order to deliver within the project deadlines. Coordinating technical specifications for distribution to the construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
General:
Compliance
1. Assist the Technical Manager to ensure that all required construction regulations and permits are complied with.
Project Planning & Coordination:
1. Work closely with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure that the technical aspects of the build are accurately executed.
2. Create technical specifications and ensure they are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Coordinate between different teams (design, procurement, construction etc.) to keep the project on track.
Design Review & Implementation:
1. Working with the Technical Manager throughout the design process to ensure all architectural plans are technically feasible, meeting building codes and regulations.
2. Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are arranged in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance & Control:
1. Assist to identify the root cause of any reported defects.
2. Conduct regular site visits to assess adherence to technical and client specifications.
Technical Support:
1. Assist with addressing technical issues during construction, offering solutions to any problems that arise.
2. Provide guidance to Site Managers and contractors on technical matters and best practices.
Supply Chain & Resource Management:
1. Liaise with procurement team to source materials that meet technical and quality standards.
Management & Budgeting:
1. Have an awareness of the technical budget, to assist in the maintenance of the project financial constraints.
2. Identify areas where costs can be reduced without compromising quality, safety, or compliance.
Reporting:
1. Provide regular updates to Technical Manager & Construction Managers on technical progress, risks, compliance and issues.
Sustainability & Innovation:
1. Research sustainable building practices and consider energy-efficient technologies where possible.
2. To take care of your own health and safety and that of others and adhere to the Kinspire Group Health & Safety standards.
As part of working for Kinspire Group and specifically for this role we offer:
* Competitive Bonus Scheme 8% of salary split between personal and company targets with personal paid quarterly / company annually.
* 24 days holiday (with 1 added day per year of service up to a maximum of 5 additional days) not including UK bank holidays.
