Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering high-quality, interactive science lessons to small classes of students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
2. Making learning fun for students and inspiring a love for all things Science.
3. Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to students' individual needs.
4. Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment with the support of Teaching Assistants and an outstanding pastoral team.
5. Providing one-on-one and small group support to enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts.
6. Monitoring student progress, setting goals, and providing constructive feedback.
7. Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant subject specialism in Science.
2. Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ideally within an Alternative Provision or secondary school with challenging behaviours.
3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching science.
4. Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong classroom management.
