Social Worker in Adults Services
Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a modernising Council which is passionate and ambitious for the Adults and families we support, our communities and our workforce. Our Social Workers are pivotal to our teams. When you join us in Adult Services you will undertake needs led assessments and provide specialist support to adults and their carers, service users, and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake needs-led assessments.
2. Provide specialist support to adults and their carers, service users, and colleagues.
3. Develop care packages and work in a multi-agency setting.
Qualifications:
1. CQSW, DipSW or CSS or BA Hons in Social Work is essential.
2. Willingness to undertake all essential training.
It is essential that you have a knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, risk factors and difficulties relevant to client groups, understanding of rehabilitation processes, particularly in relation to older people, knowledge of user and carer issues and a thorough understanding of the care management process.

This is a hybrid position with some home working; however, the post will require you to be based at our offices in St Helens and be able to attend the St Helens area regularly as part of your work.
