Elmbank Group Practice is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacist Technician to join our dynamic and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary team, providing maternity cover for a period of 1 year. This is an excellent chance to contribute to high-quality patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
We care for 11,500 patients and have a dedicated team of 6 GP Partners, salaried and trainee GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistant (HCA), physiotherapist, a full-time Practice Pharmacist, and part-time primary care Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician. Together, we work closely to deliver exceptional care to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing pharmaceutical support through the reviewing of prescribing data, performing audits, and recommending changes in prescribing practices with a key focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for the patients of Elmbank.
* Working as part of a friendly and supportive pharmacy team and using own initiative.
* Assisting with pharmacy-related improvements within the practice.
Candidate Requirements:
* Pharmacy Technician SVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Equivalent.
* Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to work on your own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a primary care setting.
* Good IT skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Training and Support:
We are committed to the ongoing development of our staff and will support the successful candidate with further training.
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience.
Hours: 2-4 days per week (negotiable).
Contract Type: Maternity cover for 1 year.
We use the Vision clinical system, and training will be provided if necessary.
