Teaching Assistant
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24)
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Role Type: Full-time, long-term to permanent

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent SEN school in Newark. The school provides tailored education for children and young people aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups under the guidance of teaching staff.
Implement planned learning activities and adjust approaches to meet individual needs.
Monitor and record student progress and engagement with learning.
Support pupils social and emotion wellbeing.
Implement behaviour management strategies in the classroom and during off-site activities.
Help students develop independence and essential life skills.
Work closely with teachers, therapists and parents to ensure a consistent support approach.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A relevant qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
Prior experience in supporting children/young people with SEN is essential.
