The company has an opportunity for an enthusiastic fully qualified Multi Skilled Engineer with 18th edition electrical knowledge to become part of our growing team.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our concrete block manufacturing equipment as well as the Site.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Fully qualified, 2365/2357 or equivalent
2. 18th edition
3. ECS Gold Card (not essential)
4. Testing and Inspection 2392 or equivalent
5. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage
6. Ability to work in a team and communicate with back-office staff
7. Organised and a good timekeeper
Location: EN9 2PD, Lower Nazeing, Essex
Salary/Rate:
1. Full-time, Permanent Salary: Pay is £19.38 with Overtime at £27.03 after 45-hour week.
2. Note: Unsocial hours can be added (6pm till 6am £5 extra/hour)
3. Example of Pay expectations - Hourly rate £19.38 x 45 hr per week = £872.10.
4. £872.10 x 52 weeks = £(phone number removed) before tax.
5. Please note before 6am and after 6pm there is a £5.00 bonus applied per hour.
Company Benefits:
1. Company Pension after probation period - Employer will contribute 5% of wages, and the company will put in 4%.

Annual Leave:
1. Annual Leave consists of 20 days excluding Bank Holidays. (3 to 4 days needs to be kept aside for Christmas Shutdown).
Training and Development:
1. Ongoing training, support, and development.

Shift Patterns:
1. 2pm to 11pm (45 hrs) - Shift pattern may vary depending on business needs.
2. The engineer may be asked to work extended shift hours from 45hrs to 50 to 55 hrs depending on business needs.
3. Requests may be made when the 5am engineer is on annual leave to work on Saturdays to meet PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) needs and any urgent emergency works.
Lunch Breaks:
1. Breaks will be paid.
2. Breaks consist of 45 mins, 50 mins to 1 hr depending on hours worked.
Multi Skilled Engineer Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
2. Improve and maintain production processes or services within buildings.
3. Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and manage people, projects, and resources.
4. Develop, test, and evaluate theoretical designs.
5. Discuss and resolve complex problems with manufacturing areas.
6. Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors.
7. Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques.
8. Plan and design new production processes.
9. Produce details of specifications and designs.
10. Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety, and time restraints.
11. Respond promptly to any reported faults or breakdowns.
12. Liaise with other professionals, within and outside of the engineering sector.
13. Monitor and commission plant and systems.
14. Ensure all engineering works are carried out in accordance with company legislation.
15. Carry out risk assessments for all engineering works as required.
16. Support/mentor engineers as required.
17. Draft electrical installation plans and technical diagrams.
18. Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical systems in both the offices and factory buildings.
19. Survey buildings where electrical systems are installed.
20. Ensure that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.
21. Supervise ongoing electrical system installations and provide technical expertise to the maintenance team where needed.
22. Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete projects.
23. Complete work orders and record materials used on the job.
24. Identify electrical problems and repair them.
25. Advise management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards.
26. Conduct general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues with testing equipment.
27. Help maintain mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems within the factory.
28. Any other reasonable duties required by the company.
Additional Notes:
1. The engineer will need to be flexible to cover annual leaves between the hours of 5am and 3am the next morning but will be within the 45hrs. Prior notice will be given and discussions had.
2. There will be times where the engineer may need to stay longer due to unexpected major breakdowns as well as business needs/demands which may result in longer shifts.
