Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 30/04/2025

Start Date: 01/09/2025
Role: Secondary Teacher (SEMH)

About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled teacher to join our Hub provision based in Stroud. The Belle Vue Centre is for KS3/4 students who have joined our school usually following an exclusion from a mainstream setting. Students attending the Hub need a greater level of support to develop their social skills and manage their emotions. At KS4, students are supported to complete appropriate qualifications to secure successful post-16 transition. The Hub is an exciting development within Altus School and aims to provide students with a truly bespoke programme that meets their needs. In the first year, we have seen great success with students improving their attendance, building positive relationships with adults in school, and being ready to move to the next stage of their education journey.
About us:
The Altus School is a local authority maintained alternative provision school, working with students from Year 1 through to Y11 who predominantly join us after a permanent exclusion from a mainstream setting. We are a supportive and nurturing school and place relationships at the heart of all that we do to help our students flourish both in school and in the wider community. You can hear directly from our staff about what it is like to work at the school by looking at our website, The Altus School - Join our team. We are a growing school with 7 centres across Gloucestershire and as of September we will have capacity for 280 students. There are a wide range of opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to plan and share best practice. In addition, you will benefit from a generous employee assistance scheme which includes health care, online sports and fitness, and wellbeing support.
