Bournemouth Airport is looking for passionate and experienced Airport Duty Managers (ADM) to join our Customer Service Leadership team. This is an exciting time for the airport as we prepare for Summer 2025 and the launch of Jet2’s operations.
In this role, you’ll lead operational teams, guide day-to-day activities, and ensure everything runs smoothly whilst focusing on customer service excellence. You will support the airport’s continued growth and play a key role in delivering operational excellence as we prepare for the busy period ahead.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Planning & Risk Management:
Stay ahead of potential risks by understanding operational planning and preparing options to address any challenges. You’ll help ensure everything aligns with the airport’s goals and policies.
Operational Leadership:
Work closely with teams on the day-to-day operations, ensuring they are set up for success. You’ll monitor performance, anticipate risks, and find ways to keep things running smoothly, implementing contingency plans as required.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with all departments, airlines, project teams and key stakeholders to ensure open communication and a collaborative approach. You’ll act as a key point of contact for ensuring smooth operations across the airport, acting as the Managing Director’s representative during operational hours.
Incident Response:
Step in when needed to provide guidance during incidents or performance challenges, ensuring that responses are coordinated effectively and clear communication is delivered to passengers and all key stakeholders.
Change Management:
Lead and manage operational changes that improve efficiency and customer experience. You’ll make sure these changes are communicated clearly and that any concerns from stakeholders are addressed thoughtfully.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all operational changes and activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, keeping safety, security and compliance at the forefront.
Post-Incident Reflection & Continuous Improvement:
After any incident, help guide post-event debriefs, ensuring that lessons are captured and used to improve how we respond to future situations.

Experience in Airport Operations: A strong understanding of airport protocols, procedures, and policies, with a focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
Leadership Skills: With a strong work ethic and a passion for success, you’ll have experience leading and developing teams, offering guidance and support to help everyone grow and succeed.
Strong Communication: You’re a natural communicator who can build relationships and keep everyone informed, collaborating with airlines to communicate clearly with passengers as necessary.
Decision-Making with Care: You are confident in making decisions under pressure, weighing up options and delivering the best solution for the operation and the customer experience.
Stakeholder Management: You’re comfortable working with different teams, building trust and creating an environment of open communication.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure compliance within operational changes.
Flexibility & Resilience: The ability to stay calm and manage challenges with a proactive and positive mindset.
