Job overview
The Care Coordination Solution (CCS) is a module designed as part of the development of the Federated Data Platform. The Inpatient and Referral To Treatment (RTT) elements of that module are being implemented into the trust as part of a workstream designed to improve patient flow and patient experience.

Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Our integrated CCS will help us to ensure that we continue to improve our delivery of services and treatment plans around patient needs. The EPR is designed to wrap around our specialist ophthalmology clinical noting system, OpenEyes, to provide a seamlessly integrated patient record system.
Main duties of the job
This particular post will sit across the Data Warehouse and Information teams of the Performance & Information department and will work closely with the System Supplier (Palantir), CCS Implementation Team, IT Systems owners, developers and users to ensure appropriate development of the data warehousing element of the CCS implementation project.
1. Build the appropriate data tables, in an SQL environment, to capture the data required for the successful operation of the Care Coordination System. All scripting should be structured and clearly commented, to ensure scalability and transferability for potential future development.
2. Ensure regular refreshes of the data tables as a minimum daily working towards an hourly data refresh using near live data.
3. Be instrumental in the development of the methodology for data transfer to the new system i.e. which data can be automated, and which must be manually entered.
4. Ensure a full specification for the data warehouse element of the CCS project is developed and approved by the project team and Palantir.
5. Ensure full documentation of the table development and ensure that this is regularly updated to capture any version changes or new requirements.
6. Ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the data curation and the supply methodologies.
7. Ensure that data quality metrics are available and liaise with the trusts data quality team regarding required improvements.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Liaise with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the data laid out in the requirements are fit for purpose.
2. Ensure liaison with the trusts Information team to ensure that data flows and data usage are documented and understood.
3. Report regularly to the CCS Project Board to update on progress of development.
4. Ensure that the table completion and data-flow are sustainable without recourse to additional staffing resources.
5. Ensure that all work is compatible with a potential relocation of the current data warehouse into a Cloud environment.
6. To ensure liaison with other trust project with a view to identifying synergies or duplications of effort.
7. Represent the trust with external partners and suppliers to ensure that all issues are dealt with professionally.
Person specification
Education / Qualifications
* A Masters’ degree in a data technology related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
* Expert status in the use MS-SQL, SSRS and Data Warehouse functions.
* Registered with a relevant informatics professional body
Experience
* Significant experience in similar environment or system
* Extensive familiarity with complex computerised data warehouse structures.
* Experience of designing, coding, testing and implementation of efficient and robust database schemas.
* Extensive experience of SQL Database Administrator tools and utilities including advanced scripting and basic coding.
* Experience of supporting the transition of products from Delivery into Live Service
Knowledge
* Knowledge of the information needs and processes of the Clinical and Operational functions within an Acute hospital.
* Expert knowledge of the NHS Data requirements, Information Standards and data flows gained through at least 2 years in an NHS data warehousing role.
* Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate with project / resource planning experience.
Skills & ability
* A logical and analytical approach to problem solving demonstrated in an Information Systems environment.
* Independent self-starter, able to work with a high level of autonomy.
* Strong drive for accuracy, performance, and improvement. With the ability to remain flexible and have a resilient approach, able to work under pressure.
* Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues.
* Excellent Business Analysis skills: able to produce metrics, analyse and interpret information and produce regular reports.
* Ability to make and communicate decisions on difficult issues where there may be several courses of action responding openly to questions to ensure full understanding and engagement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for a range of audiences.
* Proven track record of identifying and solving data quality issues arising from aligning data sources and data targets.
