The Role We are looking for a driven and ambitious graduate, to join our organisation, and undergo training and development to become a Site Supervisor. You will gain full training to allow you to manage client sites and deliver multiple items of refrigeration and catering equipment including, but not limited, to multiple types of refrigeration, cold rooms, combi ovens, dishwashers, water coolers, microwaves and other small catering equipment items. You will become the lead on site, finding solutions to issues and liaising with the client. You may be working alone or managing a team of contractors or casual labourers depending upon the size and scale of the event. You will be liaising with and working alongside refrigeration and catering engineers, external transport teams, sales team and project managers. Events may be UK and Europe / Middle East based and you will need to be available and willing to work away from home for periods of time. In busy months this may mean going from job to job with little time at home. Hours may be long in order to get work delivered before events start and you will need to be aware of other external, unrelated contractors and providers working to the same timelines to provide services for the client which may disrupt the work you are trying to achieve. Key responsibilities will include: Shadow key members of staff to understand their roles, and embed yourself in the organisation. Attend events and food and drink exhibitions to deliver refrigeration items to clients. Liaise closely with the client on all matters relating with the project. Be responsible for a team of contractors/ casual workers and lead the team. Giving them clear instructions of the job and ensuring Health & Safety at Work requirements are met and followed. Set a high standard of personal appearance in all aspects of the project team to include; Care and use of clothing Respect, cleanliness and care for Lowe and the client’s company property and vehicles Maintain a clean and tidy site. Work tightly to the contract with the client and ensure that all contractors working to Lowe have clear contracts and subsequent written communication. Ensure that any change or delays by the client result in a clear contract change order with associated costs. If on site, report daily back to their line manager with progress and escalation of issues that can’t be rectified on site. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent work ethic and the following skills and experience: Degree-level qualified, or similar mix of education and work experience. Able to both delegate, supervise and get your own hands dirty in a fast-moving operational environment. Problem solver and can do attitude, wants to be part of the solution. Basic computer skills required. Full clean driving licence. Ability and willingness to travel anywhere within the UK, Europe and Middle East and be away from home for periods of time essential. Good communicator at all levels and can clearly communicate with the client. Logical decision maker, quick to act but takes responsibility for their actions. Makes decisions under pressure and deals with problems in a timely manner. Leads by example. Strong attention to detail, works in a tidy, organised way, prioritises work activities and plans how to meet deadlines.
