M&C Saatchi UK are looking for a brilliant Account Manager to join the team. The Account Manager is a critical role in the team, and is an integral support role to the SAM/AD and BD. This person is starting to build strong working relationships with the main day to day client contact and takes pride in all that they do to support their team and client. This person is a positive driving force behind any project, they are nailing the basics of Account management and are all over the detail.
What you'll do:
The client relationship
* Developing the understanding of true client partnerships and what it takes to build these.
* Always happy to pick up the phone and have a conversation with the client.
* Curious about your client’s business, always asking the right questions and gaining deeper understanding of the sector/marketplace.
* Actively develops creative competitor reviews of the client’s key competitors with a creative analysis of what is happening in the marketing space.
* Keeping an eye/Sharing relevant information and sector news with project team.
* Being the subject matter expert for the project team – the person who knows all about the client product; what can we say and what do we need to say (facts) and supports the creative and strategy team.
* Writing contact reports for all client meetings and sharing them with SAM/AD/BD for approval and then circulating to client.
The Work
* Learning how to interrogate and challenge the work (creative) to get to the right answer.
* Supporting and learning about the production process. Supporting on campaigns with diligence and a keen eye for the craft of our output.
* Supporting SAM on developing the campaign deliverables matrix. Working with media agency to find all the media specs for assets. Sharing deliverables list with creatives.
* Meticulous over the detail – ensuring all the feedback has been answered, we’re following brand guidelines, facts and stats are correct.
Finances
* Keeping finance tracker updated – inputting all estimates, invoices, and POs into tracker.
* A master of audit trails! Saving key email approvals etc on the server.
* Learning about the relationship between resource / hours and fees and profitability. Flagging any implications of OOS requests to your AD/BD.
* Keeping SAM/AD/BD updated on project churn and flagging when project hours are close to exhausted.
* Reviewing project summary reports to ensure timesheets are being kept up to date to ensure the project churn is accurate.
* Being a whizz at Netsuite.
The Team
* Happy to buddy up with new joiners and help welcome and train our trainees.
* Learning how to manage up, being transparent with those around you on your capacity and flagging any issues, but also knowing the responsibilities of an AM and does them with diligence and pride.
* Ensuring team is supported and offering help (with a smile!) where required.
* Being the engine support for everything to run smoothly – books rooms for client meetings, ensures there is catering if required, allocates travel time to client meetings, books taxis through Despatch, ensures tech is working in meeting rooms, there are clickers if required, etc.
The Agency
* Building close working relationships with all departments to ensure one team culture and the best possible outcomes. Particular focus on partnering with production team during production process.
* Plays a supporting role in linking the agency with other agencies eg media, PR, on their business – connecting teams to ensure consistent output for clients (where appropriate/needed).
* Keen to get involved in wider agency initiatives such as creativity unplugged, summer party organisation etc.

* Someone responsible for understanding estimates and ensuring they are in line with expectations, managing client approvals and ensuring we invoice correctly and conduct reconciliations following completion of a job.
