As Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the site, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately processed and reconciled. Working closely with our site Finance Manager, you’ll help maintain high standards of financial control, compliance, and reporting while contributing to the success of our finance team. This role will suit a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have a proactive approach, a keen eye for detail, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Consistent relevant experience is essential. If you’re passionate about finance and want to be part of a dedicated team delivering excellence in financial operations, we’d love to hear from you What you'll do: Process and reconcile daily revenue transactions, including card revenues and supplier invoices, ensuring deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports and management accounts. Maintain the site’s Commitment Register and ensure accurate accruals are recorded at month-end. Work with operational teams to prepare matchday, C&E spreadsheets, and concession invoices, ensuring accurate reconciliation of funds. Support with supplier and client queries, liaising with the central BSS team for timely resolution. Ensure compliance with PCI requirements and the accurate processing of credit/debit card transactions. Help secure company assets through effective debtors’ control and ensure that cost control measures are in place. Contribute to the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and other financial analysis as required by the Finance Manager. For a full list of responsibilities please view the attached job description What you bring: Essential: Sound educational background to at least NVQ level/AAT qualification Experience of SAP Experience of working in a busy, high volume transactional, accountancy environment. Required to work some matchdays outside of normal office hours Punctual, methodical and organized and able to work to tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, clients and internal team members at all levels of the business including the central BSS team Ability to work and react quickly in a fast-moving ever-changing environment Ability to work as part of a team but also using their own initiative Strong time management and organizational skills to deliver an effective finance team function in a demanding service related environment IT Literate – particularly able to use Excel effectively, as well as communicate to a high standard and accuracy in Outlook and Word What we offer: You will be rewarded with a salary of up to £26,000pa to £30,000pa and access to a range of benefits, including pension contribution, and life assurance – 1 x annual salary.
