From September 2025 we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to lead our Mathematical Sciences department.
Scarborough Sixth Form College has excellent value-added for both academic and vocational provision. The College enjoys a strong local reputation and is the institution of choice for post 16 academic and classroom based vocational learning in the area.
Mathematical Sciences is a well-established and successful department offering A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, AS level Core Maths, Diploma and Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering and GCSE Maths.
Because of the skill set within the existing team, it is essential that the successful applicant can teach A Level Maths although there may be some opportunity to teach other subjects.
As Head of Mathematical Sciences at Scarborough Sixth Form College you will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking department, driving innovation and academic excellence. You will take the lead on strategic planning, curriculum design, and quality assurance, ensuring our students receive the best possible support and preparation for their future aspirations.

Grade & Salary Range
The successful candidate will be appointed to the National Management pay scales for Teachers in Sixth Form Colleges, within the range £53,883 - £57,228 dependent on experience. Pay Award pending.
Main Terms & Conditions
The contract will be on a full time, permanent basis, commencing 1st September 2025.
